George Deitrick, MD, is the Director of Wound Healing Program and an Attending Surgeon at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, New York. He is a General Surgeon and Spinal Cord Injury Physician and was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. Dr. Deitrick has over 25 years of experience as a Clinical Surgeon in community and academic medical centers. His clinical expertise and research interests are wound healing and wound care for pressure ulcers and recalcitrant wounds and changes to the peripheral vascular system in SCI. Dr. Deitrick’s administrative experience includes ambulatory care development, wound educational programs and outcomes. He has served as Vice President of Medical Affairs for a publicly traded wound management company where he helped manage product development and implementation for a platelet derived growth factor product as well as the company's clinical expansion from 4 outpatient wound care centers to more than 50 and revenue growth from $2 million to $40 million.
