Council Member Biography

George S. Hoenig is the President at George S. Hoenig LLC, a CT-based independent tax consulting firm. He has over 40 years of diverse public accounting experience working in a number of industries including software, high tech, chemicals, financial services, consumer products, and aereospace. Mr. Hoenig worked with KPMG for over 32 years and retired as a Partner. His experience as a senior tax advisor includes identifying and implementing leading edge tax solutions that are consistent with business strategies and growth objectives. Mr. Hoenig has expertise in structuring tax efficient acquisitions and divestitures, net operating loss utilization and planning, tax provision, accrual reviews and footnote disclosure matters in compliance with FASB 109, Subpart F planning and foreign tax credit utilization, state and local tax matters, executive compensation and benefit planning and representation before the Internal Revenue Service and other tax authorities.
