Mr. Gurtej Sodhi

Council Member Biography

Gurtej Sodhi is the Chief Information Officer and Corporate Executive Vice President at The Crye Leike Group of Companies (a $5B enterprise). He has over 14 years of increasingly responsible positions in design, development, and management of IT operations. His industry experience spans manufacturing, professional services, telecommunications, insurance, banking/mortgage, real estate, and e-business startup. His areas of expertise are in the ops/tactical side of IT as well as the strategic creation and deployment of technology to further the business both from a profitability and growth. As a business and technology leader, he focuses on strategy formulation and relationship building with internal and external strategic partners. He has general management experience running IT units as well as other LOB's. He has significant business development and M&A experience with direct involvement in negotiations and sourcing decisions. He is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School and also has an MBA from U of M. He has insight into: Storage: EMC (SAN's), Dell, Hitachi, IBM. Security: Verisign, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft, McAfee, Tipping Point, Symantec. Networking Equipment: Cisco, 3COM, Dell, Juniper Networks, Foundry. PCs/Printers: Dell, IBM, HP/Compaq. CRM/SFA:Salesforce.com. ERP: Peoplesoft, JD Edwards, Oracle, SAP as well as some tier 2 and 3 vendors. BI and Data warehousing: Currently under rollout, evaluating various vendors.
