Mr. James "Mike" Laisure

Council Member Biography

Mike Laisure has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Fluid Routing Solutions, since June 2007. FRS is a Tier 1 parts supplier that designs and manufactures fluid and fuel handling systems. It was acquired by Mike and Sun Capital Partners, a private equity firm in 2007 from Dayco Automotive of Mark IV Industries. Mike is a director of American Railcar Industries and Federal Mogul. Previously, he was the President and COO of Remy International a supplier of rotating electrical motors to automotive, commercial truck and off-highway OEMs and after-markets. Prior to this he was President of Dana Corporation until April of 2005. He was responsible for 1 of the 2 Strategic Business Units at Dana that included 34,000 people at 176 facilities in 32 countries and consisted of $7B of Dana’s $9B in revenue. Mr. Laisure reported to the Chairman and CEO. Dana was a supplier of axle, driveshaft, engine, frame, chassis, and transmission technologies, serving OEM customers such as Ford, DaimlerChrysler, BMW, General Motors, and Toyota.
