Council Member Biography

James Husband is President of RailSolutions, a railroad equipment consulting firm that provides a broad variety of technical and advisory services to financial institutions, railroads, shippers and fleet operators. Its services include railroad equipment valuations and appraisals, railcar and locomotive inspections, equipment remarketing, and maintenance planning and repair cost analyses. Mr. Husband began his railroad industry career in 1974, and held positions at the United States Railway Association, Conrail and National Railway Utilization Corporation. He was Vice President of the First National Bank of Atlanta, American Security Bank and Perpetual Bank from 1980 to 1991 and managed the equipment valuation practice at RL Banks & Associates from 1991 to 1997. Mr. Husband has a BA from the College of William and Mary and an MBA from the University of South Carolina. (This is me - Update Profile)
