Council Member Biography

Jim Munroe is currently General Manager of the Agricultural Equipment division of Monroe Tractors, which sells heavy machinery in Northern and Western New York State. Mr. Munroe currently manages sales and operations of the 4 Monroe Tractors locations in this area, generating $30 million/year in sales. Mr. Munroe has been in the agricultural equipment industry for quite some time, starting immediately after graduating from Cornell University. His first tenure with Monroe Tractor began in 1972 and lasted for 10 years, and he rejoined Monroe in the late 1990s. In addition to holding an undergraduate degree from Cornell University, Mr. Munroe also holds an MBA from the University of Rochester's William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration.
