Mr. James Spitz

Council Member Biography

James Spitz is an independent consultant providing consulting services in the forest industry. Mr. Spitz has worked throughout the US, Canada, and Central America. He has more than 38 years of experience in forest management, forest management planning, certification of sustainably managed forests, and appraisal of timber and timberlands. Mr. Spitz has conducted timber supply studies, analyzed forest product markets and business opportunities, assisted with the design of wood product manufacturing facilities, and supervised forest management and wood product manufacturing operations. He also has been an expert witness in criminal and civil cases. Mr. Spitz holds a BS in Forest Management and an MBA in Forest Industries Management. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Association of Consulting Foresters. (This is me - Update Profile)
