Jim Wisner is currently the President at Wisner Marketing Group (WMG), a research, consulting, and marketing organization serving the retail and consumer packaged goods industries. WMG works with a wide variety of clients and has produced several landmark industry commissioned studies over the past several years. Mr. Wisner has over thirty years of experience in the food and drug industry, serving as Vice-President responsible for marketing, merchandising, procurement, and store operations in various positions at Jewel-Osco, Shaws Supermarkets, and Topco Associates (a $10 billion marketing and procurement organization). He is experienced in all aspects of retail and trade marketing, including supply chain management. Currently, he is heavily involved in Store Brands, Specialty Foods, and Social Media. He is especially well-recognized in the private label arena. Mr. Wisner is a popular and frequent speaker at many industry association conferences, including FMI, GMDC, PLMA, and others. He oversaw category management groups for many years when in the retail sector and teaches classes about category management in the Private Label Executive Education Program at St. Joseph’s University.
