Jay Chinnadorai is the Founder and Managing Director of Sumtotal, a strategic consultancy specializing in the converging sectors of device, media and networks. He specializes in IPTV, Connected Devices, Contactless Technology and WiFi and WiMax technologies. He has worked for clients including British Telecom, Siemens, Philips, Sony and start-ups in Europe and the US. He is experienced in advising blue chip companies, including the BBC and Thames TV for the launch of the UK Gold channel. Previously, he was the Vice President at Sony Europe, and was responsible for network services, and developing start-up businesses; Marketing Director at Thomson Consumer Electronics. - Video consumption is very different to that of Audio 

- Mutliple audio devices already exist which can play the same digital download
- Audio has single ubiquitous codec (MP3) whereas on the video front multiple codecs exist
- The rental model has always existed for video

The Mobile is personal - so generic Ads will be a tough pill to swallow

- Generally the mobile is an 'intruder free' space so unlikely to welcome adverts
- Could work with a consumer 'pull' rather than Advertiser 'push' model
