Council Member Biography

Jean-Luc Vachiery, MD, FESC, is Professor of Cardiology and Director of the Pulmonary Vascular Diseases Unit at Hôpital Erasme (Clinique Universitaires De Bruxelles), a leading pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) centre in Brussels. Dr. Vachiery is a member of the steering committee and Principal or Co-Investigator in most of the major ongoing trials for PAH. He has expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of end-stage heart diseases, PAH, and heart transplantation. Dr. Vachiery is the current chairman of the working group on pulmonary circulation and right ventricular function of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC). (This is me - Update Profile)
