Council Member Biography

Jeremy Drew is the Principal of Drew Management Consultants and a Managing Director of HWTSK Inc. Mr. Drew has more than 25 years of experience on rail business and regulatory issues in more than 20 countries. In the UK, he has worked for government/regulators on access charges, investment appraisals and regulatory and strategic reviews. Mr. Drew has advised private rail operators and potential investors on market projections, regulatory and contractual issues, franchise bids and other commercial matters. He spent two years as a senior economic adviser at the Community of European Railways, an industry body representing all European railways in Brussels, working on contractual and policy issues. Mr. Drew has conducted rail market reviews in Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan; carried out several in-depth reviews of rail tariffs in the former Soviet Union and Mongolia; advised on investment policy in China and South Africa; advised on regulation in Russia, South Africa and Kazakhstan.
