John Heaton based in London is the Owner of The Betting and Gaming Consultancy, offering practical and operational assistance to both suppliers and operators in the betting and gaming industry since July 2007. Previously, Mr. Heaton was the Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Gaming Holdings from July 2006 to May 2007. Between November 1996 and January 2004, he was the Chief Executive Officer of The Tote, United Kingdom. Mr. Heaton was associated with The Tote for over 21 years and held a number of key roles which included Chief Executive Officer, Lawyer, Commercial Director and IT Director and led the Tote consortium's National Lottery bid. As a qualified Lawyer, he has advised government on the implementation of betting legislation and has drafted statutes. Mr. Heaton has good knowledge of bookmaking and pool betting. He was the President of the European pool betting operators. Mr. Heaton was also the Chief Executive Officer of Premierbet and Heathorns with operational experience in online Sportsbooks and casinos. He has operated a chain of over 500 betting shops and a substantial telephone betting business. Mr. Heaton was also the Chairman of Abelsoninfo, supplying sports data to leading bookmakers and Chairman of Scotbet, a private company with 65 betting shops. (This is me - Update Profile)
