Mr. John Hodges

Council Member Biography

John Hodges is a Partner at Wiley Rein LLP in Washington, DC, where he regularly counsels clients on international trade law, policy and corporate issues. Mr. Hodges represents clients in complex litigation nationwide and in federal and state administrative proceedings. He counsels a broad range of consumer and industrial products manufacturers and service providers in regulatory, litigation and legislative proceedings, such as product safety, energy efficiency and standards. Mr. Hodges has extensive experience in representing the interests of trade associations. His representative experience includes extensive experience concerning energy efficiency of appliances and other products, including standards, testing and labeling, legislation, rulemaking before the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), ENERGY STAR and Federal Trade Commission (FTC), litigation in federal and state courts and enforcement, exception and waiver proceedings; extensive experience with product safety, labeling and marketing claims before Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and FTC; and representation concerning international trade and corporate transactions, energy efficiency, product safety and labeling, products liability, standards, environment and marine resources.
