Mr. John Kamp

Council Member Biography

John Kamp is Of Counsel at Wiley Rein in Washington, DC, where is a leading advocate of First Amendment and marketing issues throughout the federal government, including the FTC, FDA, and the White House. He advises marketing clients on all aspects of regulatory compliance, including privacy and claims substantiation; counsels pharmaceutical companies on consumer advertising, professional advertising and promotion and continuing medical education; and provides strategic counseling to companies and trade associations on legal, public policy and public affairs issues. Mr. Kamp serves as Executive Director of the Coalition for Healthcare Communication and previously served as Senior Vice President of the American Association of Advertising Agencies. Mr. Kamp also served more than nine years in senior policy positions at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), including three years as head of the Office of Congressional and Public Affairs.
