John Waugh is Vice President of Laboratory at Henry Ford Health System, one of the top US laboratories. Mr. Waugh has expertise in purchasing and evaluating new and emerging clinical and molecular diagnostics including, but not limited to, systems from Abbott, Alere, Applied Biosystems, BioRad, Cardinal, Cepheid, DAKO, Danaher, Diamedix. GenProbe, GenMark, Hologic, Immucor, IRIS, Siemens, LabCorp, Mindray, Nanosphere, Ortho, Qiagen/Digene, Quest, Sonic, Roche and Thermo Fisher. He is experienced in pathology, FDA/CLIA, IPO evaluation, lab medicine, automation systems, electronic medical records (EMRs), group purchasing, blood products, information systems, middleware, laboratory regulations and facility planning.
