Dr. Jon Guice

Council Member Biography

Jon Guice, PhD, is Managing Director of Research at AltaTerra Ltd., an independent research and advisory firm focused on green business and clean technology, with clients in the Fortune 500 and the investment community. He has 10 years of experience in renewable energy technology and markets, and five years experience in other clean technology fields. Dr. Guice was co-founder of the premier design engineering firm in clean energy, designing products and production equipment with photovoltaic manufacturers such as SunPower, Evergreen Solar, SolFocus and Miasole. Earlier, Dr. Guice was the President of a renewable energy startup, the intellectual property strategist at a large NASA research organization, and a research scientist at Stanford University and Sweden's Royal Institute of Technology. He earned a doctorate from the first-ranked science and technology studies program at the University of California, San Diego and is the author of 30 technical and industry publications.
