Jonathan Schwantes is a Partner at Clark & Weinstock in Washington D.C. Prior to that, he spent more than eight years of serving in the United States Senate on the Judiciary Committee. Mr. Schwantes was significantly involved with a wide range of merger review activities, covering the media, high-tech, and telecommunications industries. He also participated in the negotiations and deliberations of tort reform bills (namely asbestos reform), data privacy legislation, intellectual property bills, and Constitutional issues (from First Amendment concerns, criminal law, to property rights controversies). Mr. Schwantes also served Senator Kohl on the Appropriations Committee, specifically with regards to the Commerce, Justice, Science (CJS) Appropriations and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Appropriations bills.
