Larry Sparks was until March 2009, a Principal at Larry Sparks, an aerospace consulting firm. Mr. Sparks is also an Aerospace Industry consultant. Mr. Sparks retired in December 2005 as a Senior Procurement Agent at The Boeing Company. He was a Boeing employee for over 31 years. Mr. Sparks was responsible for working with large and small companies in manufacturing structural aircraft parts. He has experience in working with major suppliers like Vought Aerospace for manufacturing complex wing skins and straps for 777 aircraft. Mr. Sparks is knowledgeable on lean manufacturing and cost reductions through value engineering and manufacturing efficiencies. He was a member of Boeing Management Association until retirement. Mr. Sparks worked in operations, contacts and procurement on 747-8 program for six months in 2008 and for six months with Boeing-Commercial Aviation Services on 787 program in 2010. Mr. Sparks was also on the Board of Directors of Clatsop Community College until June 2010. (This is me - Update Profile)

EADS is seeking to purchase aerospace companies in the U.S. to solidify it position with Department of Defense and American public. EADS ability to win Defense contracts with the DOD would not jeopardize American jobs. EADS ability to compete for Defense contracts will lower the price of military weapons and systems.
