Mr. Lauris Rall

Council Member Biography

Mr. Rall is a Partner at Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP in New York, NY. His structured finance practice involves the securitization of various types of financial assets. Mr. Rall has represented investment banks, commercial banks, mortgage banking companies and other financial institutions in the public offering of asset-backed securities, including securities backed by student loans, lease receivables and commercial and residential real estate mortgage loans. He was actively involved in the first issuances of asset-backed remarketable preferred stock and asset-backed auction rate notes, both of which he helped structure. In the corporate area, Mr. Rall has substantial experience with public and private offerings of equity and debt securities and mergers and acquisitions, including leveraged buy-outs. He has also been involved in various partnership and limited liability company finance transactions and syndications. Mr. Rall holds a JD from the University of Virginia Law School.
