Margaret A. Moore is a Partner at Van Ness Feldman in Washington, DC. Ms. Moore represents electric utility affiliates, independent power companies, and power marketers, focusing on issues related to power purchases and sales, development and acquisition of power projects, and electric industry restructuring. Ms. Moore's practice involves transactional and regulatory work, including project development within the framework of the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978 (PURPA), the Public Utility Holding Company Act of 1935 (PUHCA), the Federal Power Act (FPA), the Energy Policy Act, state energy regulatory laws, and related statutes. Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Moore was a staff attorney with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in the Office of General Counsel, Electric Rates and Corporate Regulation.
