Council Member Biography

Margaret Morris is a Partner at Reger Rizzo Kavulich & Darnall. Previously, she was a Senior Attorney at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she has expertise in the fields of electric, gas, telecommunications, water and rail regulation. She has over 25 years experience in the field of utility regulation having worked in the private, corporate and govenmental sectors. Ms. Morris represents clients in the telecommunication, electric, gas, water and rail industries. She represented the vice chairman on internal working groups in the implementation of Chapter 30, Telecommunications Act of 1996, Gas and Electric Restructuring, and Chapters 56 and 14. Ms. Morris was the director of regulatory affairs for the Michigan Public Service Commission, where she was responsible for the formulation of commission policy on telephone deregulation, base line capacity additions and cogeneration.
