Mark Schwanhausser is a Senior Research Analyst at Javelin Strategy & Research. Mr. Schwanhausser covers multichannel financial services, helping banks and credit unions understand how and why consumers manage, monitor and move their money via online and mobile banking. He offers keen insights into how financial institutions and vendors can profitably provide consumers better tools to handle their personal finances. At Javelin, Mr. Schwanhausser has forecasted the outlook for online banking and bill payment, laid out a roadmap for Quicken-like personal finance management (PFM) tools in online banking, evaluated 13 mobile-banking vendors, rated online account opening vendors, identified how to turn mobile banking into the customer's financial “remote control,” and outlined key ways that financial institutions and technology vendors should improve financial alerts.
