Marlys Palumbo is a Partner in the Seattle office of Van Ness Feldman, where she focuses on matters of federal and state energy, real estate and environmental law, represents clients in administrative and judicial enforcement actions and compliance activities and advises clients on current regulatory developments and strategies. Ms. Palumbo also assists clients in conducting environmental investigations. In the hazardous waste area, Ms. Palumbo has been involved in negotiations under state and federal Superfund statutes regarding scope and timing of cleanup, the propriety of governmental requests and activities, the terms and conditions of settlement agreements and consent decrees, allocation of cleanup costs and natural resource damages claims. Ms. Palumbo also has experience in all aspects of permitting wind energy projects in the Pacific Northwest, including property acquisition and leasing, local zoning and environmental studies, NEPA-type challenges, and related issues.
