Council Member Biography

Martin Alpert is President and CEO, Environmental and General Liability Consulting Group, Park Ridge, Illinois and a litigation consultant at his own firm (Alpert & Associates). He focuses on analyzing APH, Mass Tort, M & A's, Emerging Regulations & Class Actions, involving fortune 500 & over 2,800 select companies. He worked at Cambridge Integrated as an International Claim Director & was Claim Director for GE Reinsurance, resolving emerging industry issues in the U.S & abroad: asbestos, healthcare, lead paint, pollution, energy, drug exposure, mass tort, litigation support out sourcing & construction. Mr. Alpert has over 30 years experience in Trials, corporate governance, healthcare, ADR & the insurance-reinsurance industry. He is a member of ATLA, ITLA, IADC, ISBA, DRI, and the CPCU Society & was involved in the National Forum for Environmental & Toxic Tort Issues. Prior to GE, he lectured for NBI & presented seminars on trial evidence, strategy & discovery procedures.
