Council Member Biography

Michael Maryn is a Partner for Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal in Washington, DC, where he has over 15 years of experience in all aspects of employee benefits and executive compensation and routinely counsels clients in the design and administration of qualified retirement plans (including 401(k), profit sharing, ESOPs and defined benefit plans) and welfare benefit plans. He has extensive knowledge of administrative service agreements, investment advisory, investment management agreements, employment agreements, change of control (parachute) agreements, severance agreements, and retention agreements. Mr. Maryn also represents employers in the design and implementation of nonqualified deferred compensation arrangements and equity incentive plans (including stock options, restricted stock, stock appreciation rights, phantom stock, deferred stock and other performance awards).
