Mr. Mike Barden

Council Member Biography

Mike Barden is a Director at Bloomsbury Mineral Economics and Managing Director of Energy Edge, both of which are UK information and consulting providers to companies in the mining, base metals, coal, carbon and energy sectors. Between October 2008 and March 2009, Mr. Barden was the CEO of Heat Profile, a manufacturer and supplier of skirting heating systems and other electric and hot water central heating systems. Between 2004 and August 2008, he was the CEO of CRU Group, the largest independent provider of industry analysis, consulting services and conferences in the mining, metals and fertilizer industries. Prior to this, Mr. Barden worked for Sual, Russia's second largest Aluminium producer and was a Partner at Monitor Company, the management consulting firm founded by Michael Porter.
