Mr. Peter Robertson

Council Member Biography

Peter Robertson is Senior Vice President of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs at America’s Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA) in Washington, DC, where he directs ANGA’s efforts to raise the profile of natural gas with lawmakers and policymakers. A former top official at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and a leading government affairs veteran representing some of the world’s biggest companies, Mr. Robertson has a comprehensive understanding of energy and environmental policy and brings with him in-depth experience in both the public and private sector. He most recently served as Partner and Co-leader of the Public Policy Practice Group at the law firm Crowell & Moring LLP. As an attorney in private practice, he has advised Fortune 50 companies and Washington trade groups on climate, energy, and environmental issues. He also represented corporations, government entities, and non-profit organizations before Congress and the Executive Branch on a variety of issues. During the Clinton Administration, Mr. Robertson served as chief of staff to EPA Administrator Carol Browner and he later became Deputy Administrator. He also has extensive Capitol Hill experience, having worked in the House of Representatives for seven years, including five years with the House Budget Committee. (This is me - Update Profile)
