Pranay Vakil is Chairman at Knight Frank Private Limited in Mumbai, India. Mr. Vakil co-founded this joint venture company in 1995 with Knight Frank, UK. As Chairman, he is responsible for overall growth of the company in India and oversees (a team of over 900 managers operating from key locations in India). Mr. Vakil has over 18 years experience in providing consultancy services to multinational corporations and local corporations on mergers and takeovers in the real estate market. He is Co-Chairman (Real Estate) of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and Member of the Urban Development Committee of Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). In his industry roles, he is active in voicing the views of the property industry to the government and legislative authorities with a focus on spearheading changes in legislation relating to property. Mr. Vakil serves on the Board of Directors in a non-executive position of a number of companies including Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corp, Godrej Properties, Praron Consultancy (India) Private Limited, Dignity Lifestyle Private Limited, Rutley Real Estate Investment Management (India) Private Limited and Muthoot Hotels and Infrastructure Ventures Pvt.
