Council Member Biography

Ralph Engel is a Partner and Heads the New York Trusts and Estates Practice Group at the international law firm of SNR Denton US LLP in New York City. He specializes in the planning and administration of estates and trusts, as well as business succession planning, fiduciary accounting, estate and trust-related litigation, contested accountings and tax planning. His practice includes counseling clients with respect to and then implementing estate plans involving Wills, all types of trusts, pre- and post-marital, shareholders' and other agreements, as well as other documents used in sophisticated estate planning. He is also involved with creating and administering charitable entities, including private foundations. Mr. Engel represents individuals and families of moderate to very substantial wealth, as well as major banks in the New York Metropolitan area. For years Mr. Engel has been listed in The Best Lawyers in New York, New York SuperLawyers, Who's Who in American Law, Who's Who in America and other similar publications.
