Ryan Bott is Director of Sales and Original Equipment Manufacturer Development at Fusion-io, a global storage leader in solid state (SSD), flash technology, where he has been working since July 2009. Mr. Bott understands and competes against STEC, Pliant, Smart Modular, EMC, Netapp, Seagate, Intel, Western Digital, Texas Memory, Intel, Violin, ParAccel, Micron, SanDisk, IDTI, 3Par, Hitachi and more. Solid state is changing the footprint of servers and storage forever. Mr. Bott tracks how social media, .com's, VMware, HyperV, Oracle, SQL, CAD and other applications are changing with this new memory/storage tier. He oversees long-term demand from the OEM's IBM, HP and Dell and partnerships with CDW, Mainline, Logicalis and Zones. Previously he was Global Lenovo Business Manager at LANDesk Software (Avocent) in charge of virtualization, lifecycle and security management. He often consults about storage, cloud and SaaS companies. Mr. Bott is also a certified Salesforce.com partner and a CRM expert and Owner and Principal of My Inside Sales Team. Salesforce.com announced major initiatives with Computer Associates,Facebook and Twitter all around their new Chatter feature which Mark Benioff calls the greatest changes since Dreamforce.com began 8 yrs ago. But are these additions social fodder or new streams of revenue for the CRM giant?
