Council Member Biography

Shigeto Yamazaki is the Owner at S.Y.C in Tokyo, Japan. S.Y.C is a company providing consultation, data analysis, J-REIT monthly and annual market report, JREIT trend reports, publications, and seminars and advisory dedicated to JREIT. Mr. Yamazaki is the first acknowledged JREIT analyst in Japan. Previously, he was the director at Mitsubishi Real Estate Services Co., Ltd. Mr. Yamazaki has a total of 24 years of work experience in real estate (all with Mitsubishi affiliated RE companies), enabling him to thoroughly understand from real estate development, project planning, management, and financial analysis. At Mitsubishi Real Estate, he was responsible for land development and condominium subdivision; his major projects include MusashiKoganei Station front development, Yokohama Parktown Condominium, Hiroo Garden Hills. He writes a column in Nikkei Newspaper and in Economic Magazines ("Property Management") in which he writes strictly on JREIT, one of the resources used to obtain information for many institutions and individual investors. Mr. Yamazaki manages a membership website for industry experts in J-REIT Capital Management Companies, Institutional Management Companies, Think Tanks, RE Appraisal Companies, providing analyzed information and data and is a guest lecturer at Japan's top 20 Security and Investment related companies.
