Simon Atkins, PhD, DSc (AM), is Chief Executive Officer of Advanced Forecasting Corporation (AFC) with 25 years of experience in climate business impacts and solar science, as well as seven years of medical expertise as a practitioner in energy / complementary medicine. AFC is a global meteorological prediction and climate change hazard consulting think-tank; the corporation provides insights, predictions and investment strategies to businesses and investors in planetary risk management including secondary and tertiary complexities causing commodity shifts, socio-economic crises, and health advances. With a wealth of knowledge gained from visiting 66 countries, Dr. Atkins advises on vulnerability assessment “hotspots” for optimized security planning and business continuity. He holds a BSc in atmospheric physics from Cornell University, an International MBA from the Helsinki School of Economics, a PhD from Clayton College of Natural Health (CCNH) in biometeoelectromagnetics (a study of how natural and human-caused magnetic shifts on the planet cause climate shifts and affect our health), and a Doctor of Science in Alternative Medicine from Indian Board of Alternative Medicines (IBAM). BP has poured nearly two million gallons of the dispersant known as Corexit (banned in the UK and 17 other countries) into the Gulf, and many lawmakers and advocacy groups say the Federal Government is not being candid about the lethal effects of dispersants. At a recent Senate subcommittee, Maryland Senator, Barbara Mikulski, grilled administrators from the EPA about Corexit and said she didn’t want dispersants to be the Agent Orange of this oil spill.
