Council Member Biography

Stephen Key is Managing Member of Key Consulting, a RI-based independent consulting firm. Mr. Key has over 35 years of experience in the accounting industry. Previously, he served as EVP and CFO at Textron, a RI-based multi-industry company. Prior to that, he served as EVP and CFO at ConAgra, a Nebraska-based company engaged in the ag-sector and food products across the food chain and served as Managing Partner of Ernst & Young's New York office, where he founded the firm's due diligence practice, and sat on its Management Committee, Board of Partners, and Accounting & Auditing Standards Committee. Mr. Key serves on the Board of Directors for Greenhill Inc., First Wind Holdings, 1-800 Contacts, Deepwater Wind, LLC, GSI, Inc., and Forward Industries. He has also been on the Board of Directors of Aurora Foods and Sitel Inc. Mr. Key serves on the Board of Trustees for the Rhode Island School of Design, where he chairs the Audit Committee. He holds a Bachelors Degree from Dartmouth College, and an MBA from Cornell University, and is a CPA. (This is me - Update Profile)
