Council Member Biography

Dr. Subrata De, PhD, is currently the CEO of Matrix Ventures and is the former Global Head of Core Network and Strategy at Vodafone Group, Global Technology, the largest global wireless carrier, based out of Dusseldorf, Germany. He was responsible for the planning and deployment of advanced mobile including 3G carrier technologies and services in Europe, Japan, and Australia. Of significance he led the strategy & technical articulation of Fixed Mobile Convergence initiatives (DSL, 3G, WiFi) in Vodafone Group leading to Femto cells in the industry. He provides strategy, leadership and guidance on network investments. He founded and chaired the Vodafone Group Core Network Heads Forum. He has been invited on numerous occasions to be the keynote speaker at international conferences and forums, which include the UMTS Congresses in London, the IMS Business Conference in Brussels, IMTC in Germany and at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
