Council Member Biography

Terry Tevis is President of TATevis and Company, a Connecticut-based consulting firm, which specializes in providing advice to private equity firms, focusing on companies in commercial printing, their suppliers and customers. Mr. Tevis consults on business strategy for printing companies, including American Color Graphics in 2003-2006, dg3 in 2008-2009 and Beval's direct mail operations from 2007-2008. He was previously Group President at R.R. Donnelley & Sons from 1992-1998 and has been a senior operating officer in the printing industry for 30 years. He was also Chief Executive Officer of two leveraged buy out companies, American Signature and Printing Arts America. Mr. Tevis was actively involved PAA's acquisition of over 12 commercial printing companies between 1998 and 2000. (This is me - Update Profile)

2006 was the first year printing shipments were significantly over the previous year. Since the mid 1990's, total shipments have decreased from over $120BB down to this years $91BB. This years shipments were up over 2005 primarily due to the huge increase in print on demand made cost effective by Kodak, HP, Presstek, Xerox and others smaller players in the DI market.
