Thomas Clark is the Chief Executive Officer at TC Media Research, a market research company. He is knowledgeable on the European media industry, sports rights and EU competition, and the digital television industry. He has authored case studies on the national expansion plan of The New York Times, the launch of the cable channel Spike TV, and the financials of the movie "Monster". He is experienced in internet telephony and the development of triple play services in the US cable and telecom market. Previously, he was a media editor at Financial Times Deutschland. Facebook will follow Myspace and launch a German version of its service, some time in the first half of 2008. While Facebook has faced criticism in the USA for the way it introduced a new model of targeted advertising (Facebook Beacon), the issue of monetizing the user behavior of its members is much more sensitive in other countries, particularly in Europe.
