Council Member Biography

Tom Wills is Managing Director of Secure Strategies. He is a highly experienced product developer, analyst and strategist in the field of security and risk management for payments, banking, and commerce delivered over remote channels – mobile networks and the Internet. Additionally, he is a Senior analyst at Javelin Strategy & Research. For nearly two decades, he has helped organizations such as Visa, Bank of America, RBC, Wells Fargo, TD Bank, Intuit, VeriFone and CommerceNet, and multiple startups, to navigate the challenges of building and maintaining trust in their online, mobile, and legacy electronic products. For a decade before that, Mr. Wills held leadership positions in global fraud operations, strategic planning, and operating regulations at Visa. He is a regular speaker and media commentator on the topics of mobility and security, speaking at such recent events as RSA Security, CTIA Wireless, Mobile Commerce World USA, Mobile Banking Africa, Mobile Payments World Asia, and the Mobile Banking Summit. He holds a BA degree in International Relations from San Francisco State University as well as CFE and CISSP certifications.
