Victor Tapson, MD, is Director of the Duke Center for Pulmonary Vascular Disease and Professor of Medicine in Pulmonary and Critical Care at Duke University. His research interests are pulmonary hypertension and acute deep venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. This includes anticoagulation novel anticoagulants, as well as thrombolytic therapy. Dr. Tapson has been Director of the Duke Center for Pulmonary Vascular Disease for 15 years. He has been involved with clinical trials leading to FDA-approval for epoprostenol, bosentan, sildenafil and treprostinil, is involved with the selexipag and macitentan studies, and is on a number of steering committees. Dr. Tapson is a member of the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (Scientific Leadership Committee), Pulmonary Circulation Assembly of the ATS, and ISTH (International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis). He has authored over 215 publications / 25 book chapters, and has been elected into the Royal College of Physicians. (This is me - Update Profile)
