Council Member Biography

William Frick is Partner in the D.C. office of Van Ness Feldman, where he represents clients on a wide spectrum of energy and environmental matters involving public policy formation and advocacy in all branches of government. Mr. Frick returned to Van Ness Feldman after serving as General Counsel to the American Petroleum Institute (API). As a senior executive and chief legal officer at API, he participated in identifying emerging industry-wide issues and helping manage the industry’s strategies addressing those issues. In addition, he represented the oil and gas industry on regulatory and litigation matters before government agencies and federal courts. Furthermore, he advised member companies and API staff on compliance with antitrust laws and procedures for standards development. Mr. Frick also worked for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), where he held senior positions, including General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel. (This is me - Update Profile)
