Definition:

Early Payment Defaults

Early Payment Defaults are loans that miss a payment during the first few months of their origination. The loan may subsequently cure itself by returning to a current state as the borrower makes up the delinquent payment and returns to a typical payment stream, or the loan may proceed into foreclosure in the event the borrower completely stops paying on the debt.
