Anchor Tenant

Any retailer whose size or attractiveness can add value to a shopping center by attracting smaller tenants who are willing to pay a premium to become a co-tenant. In a neighborhood center, it is typically a grocery store and/or drugstore. In a regional mall, it is typically a department store and/or a large specialty store.
