Microsoft's latest Operating System called Windows 7 (Win7) has lots going for it: new features,  better performance, greener, easier to use etc, but its scheduled release this fall will not significantly boost PC sales. Consumers are not ready to spend extra money while we are in a recession, and more and more consumers are moving to "doing it all in the browser" or cloud computing as the experts call it. Plus with the current smart phones like the iPhone from Apple they are needing a "real" PC less and less.

You can get all of this for $199 plus a cell phone contract (which you already have), which is much cheaper than buying all these gadgets by themselves. Now with the recession going on and people trying to save money will the rest of the gadget industry suffer while Apple thrives?
