CAN NARDELLI HELP CHRYSLER | wallstreetjournal.com
I think it is unfair to Label a CEO as "Six Sigma" management style, as a CEO has many management tools in his tool box, one of which is Six Sigma. A CEO is a leader with a vision for strategic initiatives and can assembele a team that buys-in and deliver results. I do not know Mr. Nardelli, However, I am certain tht he posses such qualities. What I am not sure of if Mr. Nardelli is a Turnaround/Change agent CEO. I say that because of his mix performance at Home Depot and his GE background that made apply these approaches to a retail company. GE Executives have not run a stand alone companies, tend to be cheer leaders with slogans and long term plans. One size does not fit all so to speak. What applies in one instant and environment, may not apply else,. So unless Mr. Nardelli takes off his GE hat and get to work in a practical and pragmatic way, then I am afraid that the writer of the article is correct and the turnaround will fail.

6. Integration - needs longer time to integrate all standards, acceptable & economic pricing level, software cost, hardware cost cost, AUTO-ID national standard, actual application after integration and high percantage of application.
7. High level of application - The benefit will only be crated by high level of application as a regular control system for AIDC/AUTO-ID applications.
