Chili's May Make '2 for 20' Permanent
November 5, 2010
Chilis probably will put their infamous 2 for 20 deal on their new menus in the near future. While the company says that this is their way to compete with the "Fast Casual" segment, I on the other hand have my own thoughts.

Chipotle To Open Asian Fast-Casual Concept
November 5, 2010
There is no doubt that another concept with Chipotle's "food itegrity" will work and I think extremely well.We are talking about a "simplistic" operation that has become "extremely" successful.

What Went Wrong At Burger King?
November 5, 2010
It seems people weren't buying nearly enough fries and drinks to go along with their loss-leader double cheeseburger.Nor, for that matter, were they buying enough of Burger King's premium items. Early this year the chain offered an answer to McDonald's successful Angus Burger-Steakhouse XT, which is larger than the Angus but is priced the same at $3.99. In May it introduced Fire Grilled Ribs, the eight-piece combo-meal version of which costs $8.99 -- a ridiculous price for a ridiculous meal.
Brinker International On The Brink?
November 1, 2010
Once a leader in the casual dining industry is now a company that is trying to compete in an already cannibalized casual dining segment that gives the consumer many choices when dining out.Chilis' can drive some traffic to their restaurants with coupons and " two for this and two for that ", but they can't continue to do that and their profits not suffer. You also have to look at commodity prices too, and that sometimes can be detrimental to any concept.
Panera Bread Continues To Rise
November 1, 2010
What makes this brand so impressive is the fact that they stay true to their concept and they don't try to be all things to all people. Not to mention, who can duplicate this model anyway? Fresh dough delivered to every Bakery Cafe in the nation every single day. The ability to be as consistent as one can be when we are talking about "made from scratch" dough.

While this is the time of year for Football, Wings, Beer and Fun Foods, one would think that this is BWW's time of the year to shine. Well, they are doing it, but not the way that I would. While I would offer flat screen TV's, Sports of every kind, all kinds of flavored wings, many varieties of beers, wines, and mixed drinks, I certainly would not offer rowdiness, drunkenness, and a place that definitely does not promote a family atmosphere.
Burger King.....Not A Good Time To Reinvent Yourselves
November 1, 2010
Is Burger King playing with a full deck?McDonalds wins this game hands down.Other QSR's such as Carl's, Hardees, Wendys , & Jack In The Box are eager to play, so in my opinion, I would fold this idea right now.Of course now is "NOT" the time for Burger King to redesign their restaurants or for that matter, come up with a new prototype.
