Many advocates of renewable insist on claims that disguise most consumers: indeed wind and sun are free of charge. But so are gas and oil. It is the costs of capturing, transforming, storing and moving these forms of energy that count, and broadly speaking wind and sun cost double the price of fossil fuels.One would argue that such difference should not make a case for stopping developments in renewables though.
