Supply Chain Collaboration Is The Key to Keeping Foodservice Industry Performance Strong
October 7, 2011
As overall foodservice industry performance continues slow but gradual improvement, the ongoing financial condition of the consumer will remain the best indicator for the future health of the industry. Supply-side participants, including foodservice distributors and manufacturers, must find new ways to collaborate with restaurant operators to effectively drive market share gains and supply chain efficiency to the benefit of all trading partners.
What Chain Restaurant Operators are Saying About the Environment
June 23, 2011
Our meeting last week with several large restaurant chain operators and product manufacturers brought to light several critical business challenges and opportunities in the market. The recent acquisitions of broadline foodservice distributors Goldberg & Solovy Foods by Sysco, and Great Western Meats by U.S. Foodservice, among others, are a clear indication of an improving environment for continued acquisition activity within the foodservice distribution sector. McDonald's under pressure to fire Ronald | online.wsj.com
Rumors of McOpCo fazing-out Ronald McDonald is pure fallacy. The Ronald character is the cornerstone of McDonald's concept and truly admired by their kid's consumers. The notion that Ronald is associated solely with 'bad-for-you' menu and food selections is hideous. The Ronald character is simply an identification with, and for, the McDonald's brand.
