Can a supplier of a product limit how you use that product? That is the basic question in my opinion in this case. ATT and T-Mobile have placed restrictions on products by requiring a service contract that allows use of a product only on their network. What about other products?

The concept of a free WiFi is nice but should we as a society back this concept or take it in stride as we do the cost of telecom and other forms of communications? Has the concept of free WiFi ended?
