Doris Leblond of Oil & Gas Journal recently reported that the Fos Cavaou LNG terminal on the Mediterranean coast is now allowed to operate at the full design capacity of 0.80 bcfd. The Terminal is operated by GDF Suez, being partner with 71.99% and Total with 28.10%.

Oil & Gas Journal reported on 23-Aug that the Nabucco Gas Pipeline International GMBH is moving forward with two feeder lines, one from Turkey to Georgia and the other from Turkey to the Iraqi border.  The planned feeder line from Turkey to Iran has been shelved.

Chemical Week just reported that Edinburgh Napier University scientists have discovered a new process to generate biofuels from whiskey production waste.  The whiskey biofuel is 30% more powerful than U.S. corn derived ethanol and requires no engine modification of present motor vehicles.
