The theory behind Groupon is a great one. In today's money-saving age, one builds a massive following by offering phenomenal deals. Offer those deals by providing the sellers with a immediate, quantifiable boost in traffic and revenue. However, like perpetual motion, the idea that Groupon's model will be self-sustaining is a flawed theory. Groupon will be a flash in the pan and will go down in history as the worst overvaluations in modern history. There are many reasons for this. Here are three.

PayPal gives no reason for ending the relationship, but industry reports have the company unhappy with the amount of goods AliExpress is retailing directly to consumers rather than businesses.

"Plus" Polkomtel, a privately held Polish telco is still in the process of being sold. The rather long-drawn out sales process presumably reflects relative buyer apathy for a company which has appeared at best dysfunctional to some clients.Bidders may wish to consider their options. After all the only telco holding stock currently is itself a global market leader and apparently happy to sell out of Polkomtel despite the many underlying attractions to investing in Poland's growing economy.
