The luxury industry has rebounded, but not yet recovered, and the future remains uncertain. Recently two prominent luxury industry market research firms outlined their views of the future. Turns out they have contradictory views and fundamentally different recommendations on what luxury brands should do. Who's right? Neither one, exactly.

On Nov 5th, Shanghai government signed exuecutional contract with Walt Disney on the building of the 6th international and 2nd in China Disneyland. The first phase theme park will be located in the Pudong District - 20 KM from the Pudong Int'l Airport and 30KM from downtown, a space of 1 sq. km of the park and 4 sq. km supporting facilities such as hotels. Opening sometime between 2014-2015 it will bring in more than 10 billion RMB additional tourist revenue for Shanghai and the Disneyland.
